August 3, 2007

Sarah and my second Palm House party was August 3. It had three parts: there was a party, there were spankings, and there was a special event. The names, stories, and photographs I am posting are all done with prior approval of the people involved. I appreciate their permission.

As a party it was very nice. Many of the guests knew each other but there were also quite a few new faces. Most were from Houston, but we had two guests who drove down from Dallas as well as Satia, who came from Los Angeles. We had students, we had one or two people who were retired or between jobs, and then the usual mix of people you’d find at any party: a nurse, a teacher, an engineer, an IT person, a lawyer, a graphic design specialist, a doctor (me), a hospital administrator, a copy editor, and more.

The spanking started early and continued throughout the evening. At the first party I took only a few photos because people at spanking parties get nervous when someone is taking photographs. This time I invited people who wanted to be photographed to come into the back bedroom so that we could avoid any chance of someone being in or near the picture who didn’t want to be.

When I say “spanking” I’m including some near-spanking activities. There were some interesting implements. Paul brought a bundle of canes that generated a nice collective swish-whack. Jack had a soft deerhide flogger and he treated several of the ladies to a sensuous up-and-down-their-backs floggings. Heavier floggers can hurt, but this one was made for pleasure. And I have been doing way too much spanking and my wrist and elbow don't like it, so I usually avoid hand spanking and use a paddle instead now.

Trust and Caring

One of our guests was Julie, who helps edit this website but had never been to a spanking party before. She brought a date, wore an observer tag, and chatted and watched keenly through the party. I will always treasure a comment she sent in an e-mail after the party:

Even as strangers, these people gave and received a level of trust and caring that is extraordinary.  It seemed that all of them were driven by a wanting to please each other that is all to absent in the everyday world, but all too necessary to the success of such a party where one is entrusting a vulnerable part of their anatomy to the whims of another.  And that trust was being honored and respected for the mutual pleasure of all.  There were some very neat people there.

Thank you, Julie!
